To meet growth targets, this fast paced Biotech client needed to identify and develop a succession planning pipeline of individual contributors and technical experts that were ready and able to be effective new managers and supervisors. The participant selection criteria for the Potential Biotech Leaders Program included those who:

• had a strong capacity to positively impact those around them
• showed a willingness to collaborate with others
• felt comfortable questioning and challenging the status quo.
• had expertise in their craft
• were seen as a role model that others seek to emulate
• lead in a variety of ways: projects, programs, and emerging teams
• are not afraid to speak up, make business presentations, ask questions, and make recommendations

The highly customized action learning program for new managers and supervisors was a 12-week new manager training program within a larger company-wide leadership academy focused on helping emerging, new, and experienced leaders to better lead themselves, others, teams, functions, and enterprises.

Based upon data form our People Manager Assessment Center, key learning modules included:

  This leadership module focused on creating line of sight, navigating stakeholder requests, building self awareness, and activating growth mindsets.

  This leadership module focused on understanding your story, defining your personal leadership brand, finding your voice and value, and increasing your presence and contribution.

  This leadership module focused on challenging our mental models, being compassionate, and adjusting for different styles.

  This presentation and communication module focused on creating clarity and focus, connecting with your audience, owning the outcome, and navigating courageous conversations.
