Successful leaders create the circumstances for their teams to perform at their peak.

Based upon over 20 years of high performance research with elite individuals and institutions such as Harvard, the U.S. Special Forces, Cisco, Accenture, MIT, NASA, and the Juilliard School, we know that there are over 70 actions available to leaders to improve organizational, team and individual performance. We also know that not all actions are created equally.  

Leaders must take different steps to improve performance depending upon their specific industry, business strategy, organizational culture and workforce. This unique and research-backed leadership workshop guides leaders through high performance research and teaches them how to set up their teams to perform at their peak.  

The research encompasses one-on-one interviews with many of the world’s pre-eminent leaders, thinkers, scientists, businessmen and women, sports champions as well as Nobel Prize winners, Samurai Masters and military leaders. We have also interviewed the leaders of world renowned high performance environments including Harvard, MIT, Juilliard, The Royal College of Music, Military Special Forces and NASA.

The culmination of all of this research provides a clear, compelling and practical way of explaining the specific circumstances that trigger improved performance in human beings. It is based upon 4 key leadership principles:

  1. People adapt or change when their environmental circumstances change.
  2. There are specific environmental circumstances that stimulate improved performance in people.
  3. The job of a leader is to facilitate the circumstances that stimulate peak performance.
  4. Regardless of how well an organization, team or individual is performing, there is always room for improvement.

1. Understanding High Performance Environments

  • Review the high performance research and outcomes.
  • Understand the dynamics that stimulate performance and execution.
  • Identify the core performance components and how they interrelate.
  • Use case studies of global high performance environments to identify key functional and emotional criteria that maximize effectiveness in lifting the performance of people within an environment.

2. High Performance Environment Cause and Effect

  • Understand cause and effect – how changes in the performance environment effect changes in performance.
  • Use a High Performance Environmental Structure case study to define your current Performance Environment.
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of your performance environment.
  • Understand how to choose the right leadership actions to create the desired change in organizational, team or individual performance.

3. Summary and Review

  • Summarize and review insights.
  • Agree upon next steps.
  • Identify potential barriers to success.
