The Denison Organizational Culture Survey is rooted in research linking organizational culture and leadership to bottom-line business performance. The cultural diagnostic technology is supported by a world-class electronic delivery system.

The Denison Organizational Culture Survey and Denison Leadership Development Survey were developed by Daniel R. Denison, Ph.D. and William S. Neale, M.A., M.L.I.R. The surveys and model are based on over 20 years of research by Dr. Denison on the link between organization culture and bottom-line performance measures such as ROI, ROA, Sales Growth, Quality, and Employee Satisfaction.

The Denison Model is made up of four culture traits.  A fifth component can be added to measure diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).  All are validated and benchmarked items.

  1. Mission: Does the company know where it is going?
  2. Consistency: Can the company execute and create leverage?
  3. Involvement: Are people aligned and engaged?
  4. Adaptability: Is the company listening to the external marketplace?
  5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): How effectively your organization fosters diversity and inclusion to make certain that all types of people are included in a supportive work environment.

Unlike traditional employee engagement assessments, corporate culture surveys, or climate surveys, the Denison Organizational Culture Survey looks at the culture of an organization as a whole and ties culture to bottom-line performance measures.

Repeated use of Corporate Culture Surveys provide a measure of the organization’s progress toward achieving a high-performance culture with optimum overall performance.

The Denison Leadership Development Survey is a 360 degree assessment designed to benchmark an individual’s leadership and management skills with leaders in other organizations. This assessment allows leaders to link leadership development and organizational culture to tangible bottom-line performance measures.

Together, these research-based, user-friendly surveys allow organizations to align culture and leadership, diagnose specific areas of strength and weakness, and build accountability into the development process – all helping you reach your goal of a high-performing organization.
