The purpose of this highly customized action learning leadership development program was to enhance the skills and confidence of senior leaders who were required to build cross functional commitment, role model the desired company culture, and translate functional strategies into effective action.  The participants of the Unlocking Organizational Excellence for Leaders program were Directors and above who had a strategic role with a high level of responsibility to influence and drive results across  multiple groups.

Leaders in this program had greater complexity in their role, and they were heavily reliant on effective cross-functional collaboration to achieve the most impact. They were responsible for implementing functional strategy. They often balanced their time between functional and strategic initiatives, had responsibility for coaching and developing others, and were expected to collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organization.

The Unlocking Organizational Excellence for Leaders program flow had five key components:

  1. Welcome Conversation
    A personalized conversation with the participant, their boss, and a coach to answer any questions and set expectations for the experiential learning experience.
  2. 360° Feedback
    Each leader participated in a 360° assessment on specific impact behaviors as an input to creating relevant and actionable individual development plans. They received a comprehensive report and ongoing coaching to help make key insights actionable.
  3. Participant Onboarding
    A 90-minute onboarding experience with the entire learning cohort to publicly prioritize a growth mindset, define development goals, start building the foundation for the habits to be a self-reflective leader, and learn new techniques to optimize time, focus, and presence as a high performing leader.
  4. Leadership Workshops
    Highly targeted action learning leadership sessions to explore proven leadership concepts and techniques to stretch and grow key leadership mindsets, behaviors, and skills. The sessions were highly interactive, collaborative, and dialogue-driven with peers and experienced executive coaches.
  5. Leadership Learning Pods
    Participation in learning groups of 3-4 peers during the learning experience to increase self-awareness, accountability, and collaboration between leaders.
