This fast growing healthcare client wanted experienced managers and directors to build high performing teams that were engaged, committed, and aligned. As a next step after new manager training, the highly customized Leading Others Action Learning Program for Managers was a 12-week highly experiential program focused on helping people managers and directors take the impact of their leadership to the next level.

Based upon the principle that high performing teams don’t happen by accident, leaders learned how to be intentional, focused, and committed to transforming a group of talented individuals into a team whose collective impact exceeded what is possible for any one individual. This requires strategic clarity, authentic connection, and the ability to mobilize everyone on the team to propel the organization’s vision and strategy forward.

For teaming to be successful, leaders learned that each team needs to have a basic understanding of why the team exists, what unique value the team contributes, and how the team will accomplish the strategic priorities they are held accountable for delivering through a co-created team charter. A team charter is a document that defines your team’s overall objectives, resources, and constraints — it creates a common platform on which the team can rely, make decisions, and consistently do their best work.

The leadership action learning program included:

    A personalized conversation with you, your boss, and a coach to answer any questions you may have and set expectations for your experience.
  • 360 Feedback
    A 360 assessment focused on the key leadership and cultural attributes and behaviors for success with a comprehensive report and a 1:1 coaching session with an executive coach to personalize your feedback.
  • Onboarding
    A 90-minute onboarding experience with your cohort to prioritize a growth mindset, define development goals, start building the foundation for the habits you will need to be a self-reflective leader, and learn new techniques to optimize your time, focus, and presence as a leader.
  • Leadership Workshops
    Multiple customized and interconnected leadership workshops with pre-work and homework to explore concepts and techniques to stretch and grow leadership mindsets, behaviors, and skills. The sessions are interactive, collaborative, and dialogue driven with peers and experienced coaches in the areas of:
