Description
This customized workshop focuses on the key principles of project management training tools and techniques that have the greatest impact on project success for your specific project. This one to three-day project management program presents proven project techniques (and how they have evolved to guarantee success in today’s fast-past changing environment) in the context of four core project manager responsibilities:
Specific techniques such as Work Breakdown Structure and Resource Leveling will be presented with highly experiential activities to practice and get feedback on each technique. Emphasis is placed not only on how to perform the technique, but also on when and why. It’s the key knowledge every project manager needs to succeed.
To support the effective application of the techniques learned, the project life cycle is related to development life cycles (process methodologies). In addition, real world project challenges presented in class offer hands-on opportunities for participants to identify specific project management tools to help solve each problem.
While this is not a traditional leadership course, it acknowledges that project managers are in leadership roles, and accordingly emphasizes the leadership aspect of each technique. By teaching participants how the project management tool set enables them to satisfy all their stakeholders – sponsors, management, customers and the project team – this course allows the project manager to achieve success on many levels.

Principles of project management training teaches the foundational concepts, tools, and behaviors required to successfully plan, execute, and manage projects. The training focuses on practical project management principles such as defining scope, managing timelines and resources, improving communication, mitigating risks, and maintaining accountability to achieve desired business outcomes.
The customized training is valuable for project managers, team leaders, functional managers, emerging leaders, and cross-functional teams responsible for delivering initiatives and driving execution. It is especially useful for organizations seeking to improve collaboration, strengthen execution discipline, and build consistent project management capabilities across teams.
Participants learn how to establish clear project goals, define deliverables, manage resources effectively, communicate with stakeholders, identify and address risks, monitor progress, and adapt to changing priorities. The training also strengthens project and team leadership, collaboration, decision-making, and accountability skills that are essential for successful project execution.
Organizations with strong project management capabilities are better able to execute strategy, manage complexity, reduce delays, and improve operational efficiency. Effective project management training increases alignment, improves communication across teams, strengthens accountability, and helps organizations deliver projects more consistently on time and within budget.
Organizations often benefit from project management training when projects regularly miss deadlines, exceed budgets, suffer from unclear priorities, experience communication breakdowns, or struggle with shifting requirements and accountability gaps. Targeted training helps create a more disciplined, proactive, and aligned approach to execution that improves both project outcomes and overall business performance.
