Santa Clara, CA, April 5, 2012 – LSA Global, the premier one-stop training, consulting, and outsourcing firm that focuses on achieving measurable business results with a select group of clients, today announced LSA’s President and Head of LSA Global’s Leadership Development Practice, is teaching the Psychological Foundations of Organizational Change at San Francisco State University.
This Change Management Consulting course is designed to provide an introduction to methods of change management in organizations. This includes understanding the psychological and process underpinnings to change, the role of change in organizational life, and how change is planned, managed, and implemented. It explores the field of organizational development within the context of organizational change and includes OD concepts that are foundational to change, OD best practices, and current challenges within the OD field.
Through readings, lecture, case studies, discussions and experiential activities students will gain an understanding of organizational development principles and practices. Students will learn about approaches to organizational change and interventions through case studies and actual change initiatives. The different types of change, how to introduce, plan and implement change in organizations will also be presented and explored.
The course is divided into four areas of learning:
1) OD theories relevant to change
2) Individual change
3) Team change
4) System-wide change
