Adobe Photoshop Level 1

Course Description:
If you want to use images in newsletters, printed ads, marketing materials, or on web pages, Photoshop is a terrific tool. Photoshop sets the industry standard for image editing applications. The selection tools allow you to select a specific section of an image and alter or move that section to another location. Learn how to combine several pictures into one to create a collage or multi-layered image with a variety of special effects. Photoshop also functions as a powerful paint program that can create original artwork with a variety of brushes and filters.

Module 1: Making Selections

  • Select tools from the toolbox
  • Navigate in an image
  • Work with palettes

Course Description:
Photoshop for the Web! Learn how to transform your design into a working web page. Use image optimization techniques to produce fast loading images. Use Image Ready to work with HTML production tools like slices, image maps and rollover buttons. Note: this is a web production day!

Module 7: PhotoShop for Graphic Design

  • Use vector-based shape tools
  • Transform shapes and change color
  • Apply Effects – shadow, bevel, and more
  • Create and apply stroke, patterns, and gradients

Module 8: Prepping Web Designs for the Web

  • Overview of web page design

  • JPG, GIF, & PNG settings
