Talent Management - Career Development for Employees: Navigating Your Career

"Harmonic has worked with LSA for over 8 years. We have found their partnership extremely beneficial. We recently implemented a Management Development Program that was designed and customized to support our company's strategic initiative of hiring, building, and retaining key intellectual property and human talent. We worked closely with LSA to target and implement the right solutions with the greatest impact. I would recommend LSA to any company that's looking for a trusted training and development partner.”
Janice Passarello | Director of Human Resources | Harmonic Inc.

Overview:
In order to build internal bench strength and have skilled employees who can be moved into the right roles at the right time, employees must take ownership for their own career development.

The LSA Career Development Suite™ is built to facilitate workforce readiness, develop employees who are engaged in the business, and improve employee tenure. The career development programs are designed to provide employees, their managers, and internal career coaches with a clear roadmap of how to develop a career.  They also provide proven tools, assessments, and the interactional skills required to make it happen.

The payoff for developing careers within the organization is immense: longer tenure, lower cost of recruiting, higher levels of contribution as employee potential is realized, and improved employment branding as an employer of choice. The payoff to employees is priceless: less job stress, higher motivation, and the pride and satisfaction one experiences when making full use of one’s strengths and natural talents.

The LSA Career Development Suite has three key components:

The three career development offerings share a core set of career development concepts and tools making it possible to deploy all three components together for maximum impact, combine two, or implement just one component as a stand-alone intervention.

The career development workshops include the following career development tools:

  • Career Development Preparation Tools: Manager's Preparation Worksheet, Career Development Meeting Planner, and 'Nine Box' Readiness Evaluation Tools

  • Career Development Self-Assessment Tools: Employee Values Self- Assessment, Career Assets Summary Tool,  'Box Five' Activity Worksheet and Cards, Informational Interview Planner, and Scanning Planner

  • Career Development Planning Tools: Career Development Goal Setting - Gap Analysis Worksheet - Map to Future Tool - Individual Development Planner

Description:
